We followed the most eventful and suprising World Cup to date.

Congratulations to Mrs. O'Neill who picked Argentina as part of the Butterfly Class Buster and to all the children who guessed the goal scorers and times of goals during the World Cup.

We loved playing dress up for Aistear with the Ladybirds. Robin and Lucy were our news reporters and interviewed us. They asked us all about the clothes we chose and reported what we were dressing up as on the Butterfly Class News channel.

In October, we were cooking up a storm for Halloween, making some pretty disgusting potions to turn teachers and school friends into all manner of creatures.

Christmas was a very special time for us in the Butterfly class. We decorated our class Christmas tree and spread some festive cheer with all our art work.

In December, the Butterfly class was transformed into the local post office for Aistear and we were busy writing our letters to Santa and wrapping and posting our letters and parcels. It was the most fun we had all year (according to the elf on the shelf).

World Book Day 2020

Today, the characters from our favourite books came to life in school.

We enjoyed dressing up and getting a chance to read our favourite books.

Awesome Walls January 2020

The Butterfly Class and the Cheetah Class went climbing the walls today.

Garda John Connolly from Kinsale Garda Station came with the amazing new community bus to take us all to Awesome walls.

The Ladybirds came down to the gate to see the bus and wave us off.

We had such fun running around and climbing the walls. We even got an extra hour of play time in the soft play area.

We had so much fun...... even the teachers decided to join in!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!!

Today, one of the parents helped us spread some extra love throughout the school.

We delivered some heart shaped balloons to some special teachers and then we had a party!

Kidzone 2020

Garda Connolly came with the Community Garda Bus and took us to Kidzone in Carrigaline.

We had so much fun!!!!!!!!!

A busy first term of 2020-2021

December was a busy month for all the children in the Butterfly Class. We had a birthday party and we built our Christmas tree. We were so excited when it was all covered in tinsel and we turned on the lights.

We had a lot of fun this term for Aistear play time in the Ladybird class and the Butterfly Class.

This term, we spent a lot of time doing exercises and having fun in our new OT room.

We also had a science day with 2nd class where we met some real life scientists and made some slime.
