Tiger

The Tiger class moved into a new classroom in September. We love the big, bright, airy classroom. We have great views from our classroom. We are looking forward to seeing the area outside developed but we will miss watching the diggers at work!

In September we dressed up in red to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Cork winning the double.

We hope we won’t have to wait that long to celebrate such a feat again!

Can you spot the Tracton supporters?! We had great fun dressing up for Halloween.
In November an interactive whiteboard was installed just in time for Science Week. We had great fun learning about energy and forces. We had a virtual lesson with the Nutty Scientists where we built wind powered vehicles.
In December we attended a virtual Panto. We really enjoyed watching it and were thrilled when our teacher gave each child a hot chocolate…yummy! We also had a Christmas Movie Day and a Christmas Jumper Day. We really enjoyed watching ‘The Nativity; and dressing up to celebrate Christmas.
We had a Christmas performance with a difference this year. We recorded the poem ‘ The Christmas Lights Went Out ‘ by Barbara Vance and we danced to ‘Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree’ in our new OT room.

During the second term the children have been engaging in remote learning. They have been excellent and a very diligent at posting their work we via seesaw. The school is a very empty and quiet place without them but hopefully we will all be back to learning in school soon.
