Creative Schools
We are incredibly lucky to be participating in Creative Schools initiative this year.
This initiative supports schools/centres to put the arts and creativity at the heart of children’s and young people’s lives. It provides opportunities for children and young people to build their artistic and creative skills; to communicate, collaborate, stimulate their imaginations, be inventive, and to harness their curiosity. It will empower children and young people to develop, implement and evaluate arts and creative activity throughout their schools/centres and stimulate additional ways of working that reinforce the impact of creativity on children and young people’s learning, development and well-being.
Thanks to Ms Sheehan, Mrs O' Neill and our creative associate Fiona for getting things off to a great start...

In Koala class, we have been exploring what creativity means to us and how we can be creative! We examined the painting in our hallway by Niamh Sharkey and created our own interpretations of what a deer looks like in our drawings. We also carried out a survey to see what creativity means to us and how we are creative!
