The Department of Education and the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications are funding solar PV panels for schools through the Solar for Schools programme. Scoil Naomh Fionán availed of this funding and our solar panels were installed this month on our south-facing roof. It will be great to show the pupils clean energy in action through an educational app that is part of this initiative and of course, to reduce energy costs for the school.
