Zebra class took part in a design challenge as part of our work on Heat in Science. They worked in pairs, choosing materials from a range on offer. Each pair upgraded a standard paper cup to insulate it from changes in temperature. The winning design had to keep an ice cube from melting for the longest time- our control cup melted an hour earlier than any of the students' upgraded models.
